Villa Mami is located only minutes away from Siena, the historic town renowned for its Palio. Enjoy wonderful views over the olive groves of the estate, the surrounding countryside and the splendid skyline of the old town of Siena, with the Torre del Mangia and the cathedral bell tower. Villa Mami is located on a large farming estate that produces IGP Toscano and DOP Terre di Siena extra virgin olive oil.
OUR ESTATE
IN MAREMMA
On our farming estate, we grow olives and make organic extra virgin olive oil.
The majority of our olive trees are in the Maremma, where we have 20 hectares of olive groves on a southwest-facing hill near the medieval village of Batignano, in the province of Grosseto.
We have 5000 trees planted in the traditional Tuscan way, of the varieties most commonly planted in Tuscany: Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino. This is where we produce “Poggio Amasi IGP Toscano Biologico”, a top-quality organic extra virgin olive oil, following the strict regulations laid down by the olive-growers’ association for the protection of “Olio Extravergine di Oliva Toscano IGP”: consumers’ guarantee of a truly unique extra virgin olive oil.
